Reiki

In 2004, while struggling with some issues, I asked God to guide me to a book that would help me, at the bookstore.  I have always found this helpful, but on this particular day, I didn't seem to get any answers.  In despair, I went to look at the bead magazines and right in the middle of the rack, misplaced, was a Reiki magazine.  I really had no idea what this even was but felt strongly guided to sign up for a class.  I was convinced that classes were probably in California, but much to my surprise I found William Rand's class in Southfield, MI.  I became a Reiki practitioner and then a Reiki Master in 2005 through The International Center for Reiki Training.  I loved this healing art and began incorporating this loving energy into my jewelry.

The main goal of my art is to help remind people of their true self which is eternally connected to God and each other.  Each time they wear a piece of my jewelry it is my intention that they "remember" who they really are which is perfect love, and that they are never alone.
I will never leave you comfortless - ACIM.
I entered into the healing arts naturally as my father was a physician and my mother a fiber artist.  I studied nursing at the University of Michigan and worked as a surgical nurse for a number of years.   Following the birth of my two boys, I decided to become a full-time Mom and and work part-time in my husband's practice.
I have always been interested in art but never felt I had any shred of talent.  Then I stumbled upon a person making glass beads and knew I had to try it.  I enrolled in a glass bead class in 2000 and couldn't wait to learn the art.  I was instantly hooked!  I began making jewelry and entered a few art fairs and sold my pieces locally.  I enjoyed making jewelry but also felt something was missing.
